The History of LifeTime Housing Group

»  We received grants from both the Federal Home Loan Bank and the Indiana Housing and Finance Authority to do our first homeowner rehabilitation project.

» We participated in 2 housing projects in the Aurora north side area - infill housing and homeowner rehabilitation.  Also, we received approval for the tax credits and grants to build senior apartments in Logan.

» We received approval to renovate a school in Dublin Indiana into senior apartments.  This was our first venture into providing housing outside of the Area 12 region.  Construction on North Dearborn Village (Logan) began and the first apartments were rented.

» We completed the North Dearborn Village 54 unit senior independent living facility in Logan , Indiana.  We also rehabbed a school into a 25 unit senior independent living facility - Dublin Village in Dublin, Indiana.

» We received grants to do home owner rehab in Milan and Moores Hill.

» Developed the Aurora YMCA, purchased Pleasant View Apartments in Hanover,  and took over management of Homestead Apartments in West Baden.  We also received tax credits/funding for addition and renovation of 36 senior apartments in the Tyson School in Versailles and to add 26 units to North Dearborn Village.

» North Dearborn Village, Phase II, Logan, was constructed and fully leased.  Tyson School Apartments, Versailles, were constructed and met lease up.

» We received a feasibility study grant from IHFA to determine whether additional elderly apartments are needed in Switzerland County.  We purchased a single family home in Dillsboro to be our first buy/rehab sale property.  3 elderly homeowners were assisted with home repairs (1 in Ohio County, 2 in Jefferson County) though a bank CRA grant.

» We received a grant to do owner occupied rehab in Dearborn County.  We purchased a home in Dillsboro and began the process to rehab it and then sell it to an income qualified individual.  In June, we took ownership of Dillsboro Village Apartments, a HUD senior community.

» By pooling a variety of revenue sources, we began an on-going home repair service for older adults and persons with disabilities.  The Dearborn County owner occupied rehab grant was completed.  We also completed the buy/rehab/sell home in Dillsboro.

» The Tyson Auditorium which Housing Group owned as a result of the development of the Tyson School Apartments, was sold to the Town of Versailles.   We also sold the buy/sell/rehab home in Dillsboro that was completed last year. Additionally, a CHDO Works grant of $40,000 and a $140,000 grant for Owner Occupied Rehab in Dearborn County were received in 2008.

» We purchased a buy/rehab/sell home in Rising Sun and we were awarded an Owner Occupied rehab grant for Switzerland County.

» We were awarded Owner Occupied Rehab grants for Dearborn and Ohio Counties.

» We completed the 3 Owner Occupied Rehab grants received in 2009 and 2010.  We sold the home we purchased in Rising Sun.  We secured a grant to complete an energy audit and  engineering assessment of Tyson School Apartments as a first step toward rehabbing the property.
